In the spring of 2005, the Kelly’s all-Canadian team will attempt to climb Mt. Everest’s imposing north face, via the north col route, without the aid of bottled oxygen. Leo and Deryl’s unique father/son relationship has been reported on by television, paper and radio stations across Canada and the Web. Deryl’s video footage of the Everest climb and the Nepal Royal Family assassination aftermath has been used for news reports and documentaries across the country.
Hear about this unique father-son relationship and how setting extra-ordinary goals as a family can impact your life.
“DFK Internaltional was delighted to have Leo and Deryl Kelly present their Everest challenge to delegate at their International Conference held in Vancouver in July 2002. It gave insight into the importance of planning and teamwork where an outstanding acheivement is the goal”
Simon Fraser, Executive Director DFK International, London, England.
“I am writing in regards to your keynote address at the 2000 Rocky Mountain Business Seminar. The keynote address they heard from your son and yourself only increased the energy level in the room. The students were able to apply concepts they had learned in class and at the conference regarding leadership to your experiences on the mountain and more importantly, your experiences of a father/son relationship.”
Christine LeLacheur, Associate External Rocky Mountain Business Seminar 2000
“I was most impressed by the first-hand account of the challenges and triumphs presented by you and your son at the Cross Cancer Institute on October 22, 1999. The interaction between you and your son was strengthened by your shared experiences. Slides well demonstrated the unknown dangers and beauty of nature. The easy style presentation between the two of you interwove your various perspectives and was informative and comfortable. All questions were answered openly and honestly.”
Minota Dundas, Associate Director, Health Services, Cross Cancer Institute
